AT THE CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW

Not all the high-tech gadgetry shown at last week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas was high-priced.

One of the benefits of the technology revolution is that as our electronic gizmos get smaller, they often get cheaper.

Thursday, we shared with you our choices for the coolest items we saw at $200 and up -- as well as a few that were not so cool.

Today, here's what caught our eye at prices under $200. All these items are supposed to be on store shelves right now or within a couple of months.

GOLDX POWERCORE

Look under your computer desk. Bet you have a bunch of ugly and clunky power supplies, plus a surge protector and chargers for your cell phones and other electronic units. Here's a simple way to cut through that clutter.

The $29.95 DC power hub unit snaps into the PowerCore surge protector ($39.95) and provides four wires to connect to your devices -- no more separate power supplies necessary.

There are other handy router boxes, USB and FireWire hubs and connecting devices you can add, forming a stack of connectivity. They're from JDI Technologies (www.jditech.com), and will be available through most electronic retail stores this spring.
